Tree lighting opens Redstone holiday season
Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation kicked off the holiday season Thursday with the annual lighting of the post’s Christmas tree.
The ceremony featured remarks from Garrison Commander Col. Glenn Mellor and Gold Star family members Samantha and Lana Bell. The event coincides with MWR’s “12 Days of Holiday Craze” virtual celebration, which will feature book readings, prize giveaways, interactive contests and guest speakers on its Facebook page.
