Family, friends and a grateful community gathered at Huntsville International Airport June 10 to welcome home World War II veterans who traveled to Normandy, France, for the 75th commemoration of D-Day. The trip was sponsored by Forever Young Senior Veterans in Alabama.
Memorial Day weekend marked the official opening of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation’s Goss Road Pool. The pool is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week until Aug. 5, when it will only be open on weekends. For more information, call 876-6713.
