Dive-in Movie Aquatics generic web

Anyone can watch a movie at home on the couch, but how often can you enjoy one in the pool?

Jump in your Incredibile and race to the Aquatics Center for its Dive-In Movie Night. For $5 a person, the aquatics team invites everyone to the center Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. to enjoy a showing of “The Incredibles 2.” The movie night is open to anyone with access to the installation, including the new recreation badge.

“If they have the rec pass, they are more than welcome to come,” Adam Luechteseld, Aquatics Center lead lifeguard, said.

The center welcomes guests to bring snacks, lawn chairs and small floats. The center does ask to not bring glass items or alcohol. Luechteseld said the same regular swimming rules will apply– light rain will not stop the activities but if there is thunder or lightning, the center will evacuate the pool and press pause for 30 minutes.

The Aquatics Center is at building 3705 on Aerobee Road. For more information about Dive-In Movie Night or any of Redstone’s aquatics offerings, call 313-1200.
