Local teachers learned about Redstone by participating in a Behind the Gates tour Sept. 30.

They received an installation overview from Garrison Commander Col. Kelsey Smith, followed by visits to Marshall Space Flight Center and other facilities. The teachers heard briefings from the Program Executive Office for Missiles and Space, the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Project Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, or ATF. Their last stop was the Redstone Test Center’s Electromagnetic Environmental Effects laboratory.
