Team Redstone will no longer have to go off-post for a pumpkin spice latte fix.

Redstone Arsenal’s first free-standing Starbucks is now open for business. A grand opening was held Friday morning at its location adjacent to the Exchange.

Manager Destiny Clay said her team is ready to provide not just coffee for the installation but also a friendly face.

“You will always be welcome when you come in,” she said.

The Redstone location has all of the same products as an off-post Starbucks, Clay said, and it also offers a variety of fresh food boxes, making it another lunchtime spot for the workforce. The only difference will be that patrons of the Redstone Starbucks cannot redeem Starbucks loyalty program stars but will still be able to collect them.

While all the classic touches are present, there are some subtle nods to its unique location such as military-themed art by Seattle artist Jennifer Ament, as part of a collaboration with the Starbucks Armed Forces Network.

Clay said that creating the store from the ground up has given her and her team a sense of ownership and pride. She looks forward to meeting and getting to know their patrons.

“My goal is to provide the best customer service on Redstone,” Clay said.

Starbucks operating hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
