Military occupation specialty: Engineer officer

Job duties: Provide full support to engineering duties in the Army, to include help build structures, develop civil works programs, provide combat support.

MOS: Environmental science/engineering officer

Open to: Officers, active duty, Army Reserve, women, entry level

Job duties: Supervise scientific research for environmental health and industrial hygiene, prevent illness and injury for military personnel.

MOS: Combat engineer

Open to: Enlisted, active duty, Army Reserve, women, entry level

Job duties: Supervise, serve and assist when tackling rough terrain in combat situations; provide expertise in mobility, countermobility, survivability and general engineering

MOS: Geospatial engineer

Open to: Enlisted, active duty, Army Reserve, women, entry level

Job duties: Use geographic data to support military/civilian operations for disaster relief and homeland security. Collect, analyze and distribute geospatial information regarding terrain and possible effects.

MOS: Horizontal Construction Engineer

Job duties: Use bulldozers, cranes, graders and other heavy equipment to move earth and material to complete construction projects for the Army; operate tractors with dozer attachments, scoop loaders, backhoe loaders, hydraulic excavators, motorized graders and scrapers.

MOS: Special Forces Engineer Sergeant

Open to: Enlisted, active duty, Army Reserve, women, entry level

Job duties: Special forces engineer sergeants serve as specialists across a wide range of disciplines, from demolitions and constructions of field fortifications to topographic survey techniques.

MOS: Technical Engineer

Open to: Enlisted, active duty, Army Reserve, women, entry level

Job duties: Supervise or participate in construction site development in areas such as technical investigation, surveys, drafts and construction plans/specifications. Conduct land surveys, make maps, prepare detailed plans for construction projects.

MOS: Watercraft engineer

Open to: Enlisted, active duty, Army Reserve, women, entry level

Job duties: Supervise or perform maintenance on Army watercraft and auxiliary equipment on marine vessels.
