Mountain biking is officially on the map at Redstone.

Saturday marked the beginning of an effort to put signs along the more than 20 miles of mountain bike trails on post.

“It’ll take some weeks to get done,” Recreation Division Chief Gaylene Wilson said.

Garrison Commander Col. Kelsey Smith joined Redstone recreation leaders and volunteers at Vincent Park to place the first signs.

At the project’s conclusion, leaders envision a dedication ceremony. A mountain bike advisory council has been established.
