Football is always in season in Alabama.

When we’re not watching it in the fall, we’re talking about it the rest of the year. We look forward to seeing our favorite teams in their spring games.

Down here we’re mainly focused on college football. But we do pay attention to the NFL draft to see some of our favorite players become professionals.

I’m a fan of other sports, too. Baseball was my first love in my hometown Philadelphia. This summer is particularly exciting because of the Olympics in Tokyo.

But last Saturday’s spring games just whet our appetites for college football. The clock is ticking toward what should be another exciting season.
