This was one weird Halloween.

Weird. Different. Strange. It was all that and more.

Halloween 2020 will be remembered as the All Horrors Day of the Pandemic. We were already wearing masks in public. The neighborhood streets that night were mostly empty because medical officials discouraged trick-or-treating this year.

I did see one guy walking his costumed daughter from house to house. And I thought to myself:

Why?

The best thing about this Halloween was the Saturday college football games.

My alma mater Auburn put a scary whipping on LSU 48-11. And Alabama blanked Mississippi State 41-0.

Halloween weekend passed quickly like most weekends. Besides the memorable images of Auburn running past LSU, the day is a blur now.

Time is moving fast. My mom told me when I was a kid that this would happen as I grew older. Now I know she was right as usual. I’m 65 and time is racing. That’s a scary thought but it’s true.
